If you follow this blog regularly the you will know that in the ski world Tom Wallisch is a popular guy, getting his name dropped in the "Shit Skiers Say" video that recently went viral and blew up YouTube a few days ago.

Last night Tom further cemented his place atop the game with a performance on night one of the X Games that will not soon be forgotten.  He had a flawless top to bottom run that saw him pick apart the jib section at the top of the run, then spin and flip his way to a gold medal.

Wallisch ended with a 96.00 giving him not just the number one spot, but the highest scoring run in Ski Slopestyle history at X Games.  This was just the first night, so there is no telling what other magic is in store at X given the fact that the incredible always seems to happen in Aspen.
